The collaboration between Rene Lalique and the perfume maker Coty started in 1908 with the creation of a glass panel for the perfume
'L'Effleurt'.
The bottle's body was then still made by Baccarat (ref. R. Lalique's cat. By F.Marcilhac p. 66). To fullfill Coty's industriel commands,
R. Lalique rents the glass factory of Combes-la-Ville.
Thanks to technical achievements and to the great originality of his work, Lalique did compete successfully with the other specialists of the perfume bottle industry like Andr� Jolivet or Julien Viard. (ref. Master pieces of the perfume industry. p 211 and p137 by Christie Lebkovith)
Lalique conceived perfume bottles for the most famous perfume makers of his time.
In 1913, R. Lalique creates a tiara stopper for 'Leurs ames ' D'Orsay. (ref. Bonhams London 13 Oct. 1994 sale, p 128).
For Forvil in 1925 , R.Lalique creates the 'Corail rouge', a red enamelled bottle and its matching boxe. (ref Bonhams London 13 Oct. 1994 , p 24).
Other perfume bottles like 'Amphitrite' made in 1925 were sold only in the Lalique's sales points and existed in many bright colors like in emerald green. (ref. Couteau Bgarie, Drouot sale 13 Nov. 1996).

R. Lalique's perfume bottles are still raising the enthousiasm of many collectors.
